WHAT MAKES THIS CLASSROOM SUCCESSFUL
Mrs. Meyers takes several steps to ensure her students have productive tutoring sessions with their tutors. She has shown exceptional achievement in the following areas:
Scheduling: Opens up multiple 30 minute windows to ensure flexibility for all tutors to be able to call weekly.
Student Greeter info: Trains two students to be greeters who seamlessly perform this task with manners and without distraction.
Classroom management:Maintains a quiet corner of the room for tutoring and emphasizes the importance of tutoring and classroom learning.
Frequency of Reading Stage Updates: Updates reading stages monthly and progress monitors if tutor indicates growth higher than teacher’s level.
Reading Stage Growth: 75% of Mrs. Meyers TutorMate students will reach the end of year proficiency standard. Most students have grown at least five reading levels since the beginning of tutoring.
