Milissa Ingrassia is a first grade teacher at PS 23. She has a BA in Education/Sociology and an MA as an Early Childhood Specialist. She has been teaching for 25 years. Mrs. Ingrassia is very creative and likes to incorporate art and music into her lessons. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two sons. She credits them for giving her inspiration.

This classroom is successful because of Ms. Ingrassia's responsiveness to tutors. She quickly returns their messages, and makes sure to provide updates in both reading stages and in class developments. Ms. Ingrassia ensures that there are no schedule disruptions by keeping a calendar of events handy to update tutors whenever possible
