"I have been working at AOA since the fall of 2000 as a first grade teacher and as a second grade teacher. Ever since I had the opportunity to get involved with TutorMate I had nothing but awesome things happenings to my students. I can't recall the year I got involved with innovationsforlearning but I know that since the first day my experience with the program has been an amazing journey of success for me and my kids. Some of my older kids in school still remember using the game boy like instrument we had many years ago to support them. Having TutorMate in my classroom is like the "extra" person in my room that I know I can count on to help my students who need extra support. I have seen students who are shy about learning English or speaking it made an incredible turn around and actually look forward to getting a call from the "blue" computer. Having the program has also encourage my students to speak English outside the tutoring sessions, I have heard some kids say "my tutor is very nice" and "I can't wait to meet my tutor". Even the student in charge of answering the phone has grown tremendously!
Every year I look forward to get the program going so I can push those kids who are ready to learn a second language and be successful in my room. So on behalf of many students tutored for many years I thank you so very much, and on behalf of future students who will benefit from your help I thank you as well." - Mr. Garay Marroquin
