At Sherwood Park Global Studies Academy, tradition meets technology to prepare students for the global economy through language and cultural studies. Sherwood Park Global Studies Academy is located on Grand Rapids southeast side. The school is filled with artwork reflecting the global studies theme and highlighting the diversity of its students. This year was the first for Sherwood Park, and the three 1st grade teachers rose to the challenge. Ms. Colligan, Ms. Wierenga, and Ms. Jovanovich handled 10 tutors each from Steelcase, one of our major sponsors in Grand Rapids. They saw excellent reading level growth from their students, and collectively maintained an excellent call success call rate, with good communication with their tutors.
